Brown marks the official holidays which are working days.

Green marks the celebrations, which change date.

• In the area of the modern Vinnitsa region, Mykola Leontovych (1877/12/13 – 1921/01/23) was born – Ukrainian composer, choreographer, public person and music teacher. Author of well-known edits of Ukrainian folk songs for choirs.

• The world's first Muslim republic was declared in Bakhchisarai (1917).

• In the area of the modern Volyn region, Yevhen Sverstyuk was born (1928/12/13 – 2014/12/01) – Ukrainian writer, philosopher, system critic and public figure.

Andriy Shevchenko became the best European football player of the year (2004).
