The charity organization Help Sick Children are known for helping severely ill children who need treatment abroad.

Two charity concerts with Shpylasti Kobzari in Copenhagen and Vejle are arranged by the association Help Sick Children in collaboration with Klub Ukraina. All collected income during the events of 16 and 17 December goes to the association's work for children who can not receive the necessary medical and surgical treatment in their home countries. Help Sick Children have in recent years helped over 20 concrete children for surgery, treatment, examinations and medicine in hospitals in Denmark and other European countries.

Who are these bandurists?

Behind the name Shpylasti Kobzari, six banduristic musicians are hiding, who play with great humorous surplus own songs, instrumental numbers, cover versions of international hits and modern versions of Ukrainian folk songs.

*Bandura is a lute-like string instrument. A blend between a lute and a harp that has a sound that is touching and gentle, but with a wider range of dynamics.

The group broke through in 2011 with a ranking among the top 50 in the television show Ukraine got Talent and their recording of Jingle Bells has been seen more than a million times since the publication by the end of 2015. The group has performed in more than 10 countries on three continents, and arrives in Denmark for the first time in December.

The group members come from all corners of Ukraine and are as diverse as possible, apart from their common love for their mother tongue, their songs, their homeland and, not least, the banduria. Shpylasti Kobzari is a unique sixtet that connects folk music's color with the sound of Joe Dassin's, Nirvanas or Beatles songs, the familiar sound of the traditional instrument with the breathless tempo of modern dance music. Their show always offers surprises, they are unpredictable, life-provoking and positive.
